Well time for a quick update...and yes it's April Fools Day...but it's all true!!!

Well I graduate in 6 weeks!!!  AHHHHHH!!!!!  I'm ready for it and at the same time I'm not.  I'm ready to be done with my undergraduate work, but I'm not ready to leave all my friends here.

This semester has been by far one of the best ever!!!  A great way to end my time here at Harding.

I finish my internship next week.  I am finally working on the children's program that I should have been working on since day one...but now I'm cramming it all into my last few days...oh well...it will be worth it.  I'm also going to the support groups for the abused women.  I really like going...I feel like I'm actually doing something that I'm qualified for and that is helpful to the women.  I'm going to sit in on one more...then they want me to lead one my last week....AHHHH!  But it's very cool and exciting.

I got accepted into Argosy!!!!  I signed all my paper work and signed my life away to debt..oh well.  I am told that eventually it will all be worth it.

I have sent my offical resume into Chidlren's Hospital and am looking for a few other places in Dallas to do some summer work and possibly stay on while I go to school to get the experience.

Other than all that not much has been going on except for making  the most of my last semester!!!!

Now you all know.  SMOOCHES

Well I've finished my 40 hours of training for my internship...so now I actually get to do things!!!!  Not a whole lot is going on.

Big news for everyone back home....I got a call from Argosy University (one of the grad schools I applied to) and I have an interview with them on Feb. 23!!!  Basically, if you make it to the interview you are accepted to the school...so I'm very excited.  I get to skip classes too!!!  Not too much else is going on.

The teaching aid thing is going great.  Classes are pretty easy right now.  And my internship has been slow, but it's going to get better now that I'm not training anymore.  Ok well my parents are here for the weekend so I'm gonna get.

Miss you all bunches.   SMOOCHES

Well it's been a while since I've been on here.  My arm is better...every once and awhile I'll use it too much or put too much weight on it and I still get a little pain, but it's all good.  Christmas break was great.  I took a speech class at a community college back home and got 3 hours out of my way.  The rest of the break was kind of long and drawn out.  I got to see a lot of friends that I dont get to see which was good, but mainly I spent a lot of time with my family.  We (my family) went to Branson, Missouri for New Years for my grandma...who by the way is doing alright.  We can notice a big change in her since this time last year, but not as much as we were expecting.....so for awhile   family is going to come first.  Gotta get in my time, before I cant anymore!  Anyways   Kelsi, my sister moved out over the break into her very own apartment, and I got a little lonely at the house without her, but she's doing what she needs to and I'm very happy for her.  She makes fun of me cuz she is younger and moved out before I did, but oh well.  Not much else in new in my world.  I'll gonna be graduating in May (114 days from now, including weekends and Spring Break)!!!!  This semester I'm only taking 12 hours...well 9 really plus my internship which I will start next week.  I'm interning at the Domestic Abuse Shelter here in Searcy.  One of my major jobs there will be to create a program for the children who pass through with their mothers....Searcy does not have a program like this, so it is a bit of a honor to do so...as an intern!!!  But basically it's going to be a real easy, laid back semester...or so it seems!   Ok well I've updated...so for those who were asking...there you go...for the rest of you, now you know what's going on in my world.   Untill next time.....

Well it's been awhile since I've written.  My arm is getting better....the cast has been off for awhile now and I just recently was able to loose the sling   so now I'm using it (as much as I can) and hoping that it quickly gets back to normal.  Silly little kid...next time   I'm not going to be nice and I'm just taking out whoever gets in my way...this healing stuff is just ridiculous!   Anyways  I'm not really all that bitter!

School is going alright...I guess.  I thought last week was going to be the death of me, but obviously I'm still alive...so I guess it wasnt that bad.  Thanksgiving break starts in 4 days and I cant wait!  I have a meeting with a lady who works at Children's Hospital in the psych department(Thank you mom)   so hopefully I will have a job with them for this summer and to do some intern hours with!!!!!!   Ohh PS  I'm also taking the GRE AGAIN over the break....so I'm still kinda freaking out, but I'm trying not to.  This is the last time I can take it before application deadlines, but if for some odd reason I dont do soo well again, I'm either just going to step back and do a master's program   or take a year off and work at Children's  get some experience and try again next fall!  Just because there are some bumps in my way, it's not going to get me off my path.  Ohhhh which FYI   I have decided to return my focus onto Counseling children who've been abused.  Everyone I've told so far has asked me why, but I think I can handle it and I think I'd be really good at it, plus if I dont do it, who will???

Anyways   I think that's it...I've got some reading to do so that I dont have to do it next week while we're gone...Ok I'm out....SMOOCHES!

Well...let's just say that this weekend was full of adventures!!!!!

Starting off on the way home, my car wouldnt cool off at all and temp. thingy was jumping all over the hot end.  So Cassy called her dad and he said we needed water in my radiator.. no problem...I've done it to Kelsi's car...I can do it again.  Well my engine looks different than Kelsi'sans I wasnt real sure where to put the water...but it was right and we got the water in and let it run for a min to get water in the radiator and air out.  (During this whole processes, only one person came over to ask if we were ok or needed help...AND HE WAS A WANDERER!  I mean seriously...we were ok, but still  3 girls leaning over a car with the hood up....you'd think more than 1 person would have asked....but maybe I live in a dream world.  Plus we were still in AR....if we were in TX I bet more would have asked!)  Ok so back to the adventure....we get the car cooled off and get in and getback on the highway....and it gets hott again!   Great!   So we pull off AGAIN and check the water level and it was still full...so we decided to get in the car and drive and if it heated up again, we'd take it from there.  Well we got in and drove off and the car was fine then.

Saturday:  I woke up way early and took my car to the shop to get it fixed...which it is now!  Then I had to get ready for my interview.  So I'm in the car following the directions that the lady gave me and I couldnt find the place and was about to cry, so I called my mom and she saved the day and found me real directions...anyways I got there 10 min late, but the guy was really cool about it and said he got really confused his first time there.  The rest of the interview went great!  It really sounded like a great place and I'll just keep an open mind about grad schools.  Ok so I go home and my mom, sister, aunt, cousin and I went to go get our nails done.  It was so much fun.  Then I got ready to go out with Cassy and Greg.  Since this was the first time Cassy and I had been home all semester, Greg was taking us out for a surprise!  We went ice skating!  It was fun..at first....then not too long after we started....I was trying not to run over this little girl...so the only other thing I could do was to fall on my butt....in doing so, my arm went back and broke my fall!  Well I couldnt feel  my arm and motioned to Greg and Cassy to meet me on the side and we went and sat down for a minute   and my arm really hurt, but being the hass that I am I wasnt about to show it hurt.So finally like maybe 20 minutes later, while we were eating ice cream...I was told to call my mom and she said she needed to look at it and we'd go from there...current pain level...around a 5  or 6...well I dont know if I was just extra sensitive or what, but I think we took the bumpiest road back to my house.  Well, we finally get ther and my mom starts looking at it, then made me twist it and I lost it...pain now at a 8...so guess where I got to go...the ER.  They were very nice..well except for the xray tech who made me put my arm in weird positions to take the xray and the dr who twisted my arm to get a better look...but then he gave me some wonderful drugs and we were friends again. Well it wasnt broken...I just tore the tendons in my forearm that hold the bones together!!!  So I got a temp cast and a sling and more wonderful medicine.

I go to a dr here tomorrow at 3pm and he'll tell me if my arm is any better, the same, or worse...so I really dont know what's going to happen...happy thoughts though...accidents happen and the worst thing that could happen would be that I have to have some surgery on my arm....atleast I still have my arm right!  Anyways  I'm not going to worry about it.

But I  have 3 wonderful roommates who help me get dressed, and wash/fix my hair for me, and tons of amazing friends who take notes and help me out in class.....you are all my heros!!!

Anyways my one good arm is tired of typing all alone so it's time to get off....until next time...SMOOCHES!!!!!
